Sports are so gay
Thirty-five years after the American Psychological Association declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder, the same group has finally resolved that “ex-gay” conversion therapies are bunk and can, in fact, be dangerous. Organizations like NARTH and Exodus International will still peddle their reparative therapy techniques to anyone who is a sucker (mostly parents refusing to accept they have a gay son or daughter), but the APA resolution may help counter the effects of this ridiculous movement. |

Athlete of the Year search gets under way
Growing up Eric played the All-American sport of baseball. A natural at virtually every position, he excelled at pitching, hitting, running, sliding, catching — pretty much everything he touched in the world of baseball was a homerun. On the other side of the world David used his tall frame to achieve success on the soccer pitch as the star goalkeeper. Years later the two of us met on the rugby pitch in Phoenix and formed a friendship that later gave rise to Compete. In our many years playing and watching sports (David is still addicted to “football” and can be found at the local pub getting his fix) we never thought we would be offering an Athlete of the Year award to a deserving gay athlete. |
